Brake Check: How to Recognise Wear in Time

The brakes are the most important safety system in your vehicle. Worn brake pads or damaged brake discs can significantly reduce braking performance and, in the worst case, lead to an accident. It is therefore important to check the brakes regularly.

Typical signs of worn brakes include: squealing or scraping when braking, a soft or spongy brake pedal, longer stopping distances and vibrations when braking. If you notice any of these symptoms, you should immediately visit a workshop.

In Germany, the TÜV requires a minimum brake pad thickness of 2 mm. ENBA-certified workshops carry out professional brake inspections and replace worn components quickly and reliably.
