The cooling system protects the engine from overheating and is therefore essential for the longevity of your vehicle. Coolant, also known as antifreeze, not only prevents freezing in winter, but also protects against corrosion and raises the boiling point of the water in summer.
The coolant should be changed every two to three years or every 60,000 kilometres. Regularly check the level in the expansion tank – it should be between the min and max marks. Discolouration or cloudy fluid indicates a need for renewal.
An overheated engine can lead to serious and costly damage. ENBA workshops check your cooling system quickly and easily – contact us.
